DEC in Computer Science Techniques

Program Description

The program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to work as programmer-analysts in the areas of administrative data processing.

At the end of the program, the student will be in a position to :

  • Organize and use data ;
  • Correct programs;
  • Analyze the features of the information systems of various companies with a view to developing computer-aided solutions;
  • Develop conceptual models using the structured approach;
  • Exploit the possibilities of a networked computing environment;
  • Create and use databases;
  • Make functional improvements to an application;
  • Ensure the quality of an application;
  • Use multimedia processing utilities;
  • Provide technical support and training to users;
  • Install an application;
  • Design and develop an application both in a database and in a graphical environment;
  • Design and develop a hypermedia application within internal and global networks.

Admission Conditions

  • Grade 10 + 2 or recognized higher secondary equivalent;
  • Math, Technical and Science Option or Science Option or Math 526 or its equivalent;
  • Fluency in English with a level of IELTS 6.0 band preferred but not less than level 5.5;
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
